VQ Membership Requirements
Volleyball Queensland (VQ) Membership – Brisbane Spikers
To be an active member of Brisbane Spikers and participate in any Volleyball Queensland (VQ) or Volleyball Australia (VA) sanctioned events, all players must hold a valid VQ membership.
Why Do I Need VQ Membership?
- VQ membership includes player insurance, covering injuries sustained while playing volleyball.
- Membership is valid from the date of application until 31 March of the following year.
- It is the member's responsibility to ensure they have the appropriate level of membership.
Membership Levels
- Non-Playing – Required for coaches, referees, and volunteers (Free)
- Recreational – Minimum required for YDP, Spikers Academy, General Training, and Metro League
- Full – Required for PVL, YPVL, state, and national championships
Brisbane Spikers Membership Requirements
- All players must hold a current VQ membership appropriate to the activities they participate in.
- VQ membership should be applied for or renewed when registering for the first Brisbane Spikers activity of the calendar year.
- PVL/YPVL Transfer Window: If you need to transfer clubs, ensure you complete your transfer within the designated window.
Volleyball Queensland Transfers
To compete in VQ competitions as part of Brisbane Spikers, you must be affiliated with the club. Once registered with a VQ-affiliated club, you remain affiliated until you formally request a transfer.
